Sky's the Limit

Tom "Sky" Skibosh covers the Wauwatosa, Brookfield and New Berlin prep scene for Community Newspapers. If something is going on in local sports, Sky has an opinion about it. If you agree or not with what Sky says, we want to see your comments.

I wish I were triplets

Boys basketball - Brookfield Central, West Allis Central, New Berlin Eisenhower, New Berlin West, Girls basketball - New Berlin Eisenhower, New Berlin West

I wish I could cover at least three games Friday night.

GMC Boys

I am covering the West Allis Central at Brookfield Central in the battle for first place in the Greater Metro Conference between two 8-2 teams - one hot, the other's not.

The Lancers (13-4 overall) are riding a two game losing streak after winning 8 in a row. The Bulldogs (12-4) have won three in a row and 8 of 9 games (with a forfeit win over Falls).

The Bulldogs lost a 53-49 decision to the Lancers the first time around at WAC. WAC's Najeal McMillian had 21 points and the Lancers' Riley LaChance had 17.

I made a prediction about the Bulldogs a couple weeks ago. Check out the link to my column.

Tosa East is 7-3 and Menomonee Falls and Marquette are beginning to wake up. Sussex Hamilton (4-6) and Brookfield East (4-6) all can beat anyone on any given night.

WOODLAND Boys

Both New Berlin Eisenhower (10-2) and New Berlin West (10-3) are in first place in the Black and Blue Divisions. Whitnall (10-3) is tied for first with Ike and Pewaukee (9-3) is a half game behind the Vikings.

Ike hosts Pewaukee on Friday and West travels to South Milwaukee (8-4).

WOODLAND Girls

Black Division leader Eisenhower's girls (14-0, 12-0) travels to first-place Pewaukee (11-1, 13-2) of the Blue Division on Saturday at 7 p.m. This is a huge test for the Lions who are just murdering the weak teams in the Woodland and have few games against good competition.

New Berlin West's girls (10-3, 11-5) have put together a good run - 6 conference wins in a row - and they host South Milwaukee on Friday (9-3, 9-4).

Buckle your seat belts.
